Türkiye Releases New Original Mini-Series for Global Promotion
Türkiye has embarked on a fresh initiative to promote its iconic destinations globally through cinematic storytelling. The country, which has become a world brand in tourism promotion through GoTürkiye, has launched two new original mini-series, ‘Antalya Gambit’ and ‘Istanbul My Love’, to draw the attention of international audiences to the vibrant Turkish cities.
Produced with high cinematic quality and compelling narratives, the mini-series are the newest additions to the promotional campaigns Türkiye carries out globally, aiming to reach different audiences. While ‘Antalya Gambit’ is set against the shimmering coastline of the Turkish Riviera, where the sun shines 300 days a year, ‘Istanbul My Love’ zeroes in on the country’s lively metropolis, blending romance and technology against the backdrop of the city’s historic and modern corners. The productions, which are now available on GoTürkiye’s YouTube channel, aim not only to showcase Türkiye’s visual splendour but also to build an emotional connection with viewers through engaging stories set in real locations.
A Thrilling Tale on the Turkish Riviera
Starring acclaimed Turkish actors Kaan Urgancıoğlu and Meryem Uzerli, ‘Antalya Gambit’ invites viewers into a world where nothing is quite what it seems. The narrative begins when celebrated art curator Lara (Meryem Uzerli) saves the life of Deniz (Kaan Urgancıoğlu), a mysterious architect, on the beach of a luxury resort. Although their encounter feels like destiny at first, the series later reveals an elaborate cat-and-mouse game centred around a high-stakes art auction, leading the duo to explore ancient cities, secret coves, and glamorous nights in the city.
The visually stunning new mini-series intertwines intrigue, romance, and the sun-drenched spirit of the Mediterranean. As suspense intensifies, the lines between truth and illusion begin to blur, and each scene reveals new layers of tension, temptation, and deception. Told across ten cinematic 2-minute episodes, the production unfolds like a modern Mediterranean noir, full of twists, secrets, and unexpected turns in one of the world’s most captivating coastal cities. Pairing cinematic flair with wanderlust, Antalya Gambit’ aims not only to entertain but also to ignite a desire to experience the beauty of Antalya firsthand.
While lavish resorts, where the art of Mediterranean living is elevated to new heights, set the opening in the film, the historic streets and the modern marina of Kaleiçi offer the perfect blend of old-world charm and contemporary elegance in the city. Then, the ancient ruins in Perge, as well as Phaselis across the turquoise coasts, transport viewers back to the grandeur of antiquity, and the crystal-clear waters of Porto Ceneviz Bay unveil serenity and seclusion beyond imagination. Further, the luxurious Belek coast, where lush greens and pristine coasts meet the allure of golfing, offers a paradise for both leisure and sport. Through all these scenes, ‘Antalya Gambit’ paints a captivating portrait of the Turkish Riviera, brimming with discovery, style, and soul.
A city that never sleeps. Two hearts caught off-script.
Istanbul (Afra Saraçoğlu), a brilliant and ambitious young woman, pitches an AI software that promises to solve problems across every aspect of life—including love, to Tan (Engin Akyürek), a successful and emotionally guarded businessman. He challenges her with a bold deal: if her algorithm can help him find true love in just three tries, he’ll invest in her company. As Istanbul curates three perfect matches through her Ai model, what begins as a tech-driven experiment slowly turns into a personal and emotional journey for them both. But as Tan navigates these dates, a bigger question arises: can love really be programmed? And in the end, will Istanbul’s algorithm lead Tan to someone else—or to herself?
Featuring acclaimed Turkish stars Engin Akyürek, Afra Saraçoğlu, Yasemin Kay Allen and İlayda Akdoğan ISTANBUL MY LOVE unfolds in ten cinematic chapters—each approximately three minutes long—crafted with the aesthetic soul of the city and the quiet tension of what happens when two people resist fate.
