GoTürkiye, Türkiye's official tourism platform, has launched its third mini-series, "Hidden Lover," starring Eda Ece and Caner Cindoruk on its YouTube channel. This romantic comedy set amidst Antalya’s stunning backdrops aims to boost global awareness of the Mediterranean city.
The 10-episode series, directed by Murat Öztürk, showcases Antalya’s lesser-known natural, historical, and cultural beauties from a fresh perspective. The story begins with architect Güneş (Eda Ece), who is trying to reach businessman Ömer to present an important project. Instead, she crosses paths with Deniz (Caner Cindoruk), whom she mistakes for Ömer Bey’s driver. To persuade Deniz to arrange a meeting, Güneş takes him on a journey through Antalya’s hidden coves, ancient cities, canyons, beaches, and the most special flavours of Mediterranean cuisine, sharing everything the city has to offer in one unforgettable day. As the two explore Antalya, an unexpected connection begins to form setting the stage for a romantic and playful adventure.
“Hidden Lover” offers viewers the chance to discover all the beauty Antalya has to offer — from turquoise beaches and ancient cities to breathtaking natural landscapes and the energetic Mediterranean nightlife. Highlighting Antalya’s natural heritage, cultural diversity, and year-round liveability, the series aims to introduce Mediterranean light to a global audience.
“Hidden Lover” is the 3rd mini-series GoTürkiye has produced. The first 2 were “Antalya Gambit”, which starred Meryem Uzerli and Kaan Urgancıoğlu, and “İstanbul My Love”, whose leading roles were shared by Afra Saraçoğlu and Engin Akyürek. Both series achieved massive success online, with each episode watched by millions worldwide, from 76 countries.
The rollout of "Hidden Lover" follows the massive digital success of GoTürkiye’s content strategy. The GoTürkiye YouTube channel now boasts over 5.3 million subscribers, positioning it as a leader among global tourism boards. In the first half of 2025 alone, the channel has gathered 763 million views and achieved a 146% increase in subscribers and a 55% surge in overall views compared to the previous period.
